EMDR Consultant-in-Training
Hughar is an EMDR Certified Therapist and Consultant in Training. He holds both an LPC and LAC license and has practiced in the mental health field for over a decade. Hughar has experience in a variety of theoretical approaches and treatment interventions. In addition to EMDR Therapy, he specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and enjoys viewing his cases through the Adaptive Information Processing lens. His treatment focus is trauma and PTSD, complex PTSD, dissociation and related symptoms, co-occurring disorders, depression, grief, anxiety, addictions, and shame. He uses interventions to help clients move past current pain and suffering to meaningful and engaged living.
Hughar is a part of the EMDR Center of the Rockies team in addition to the Greenwood Counseling Center team and deeply values learning and training the EMDR model. Aside from his professional goals Hughar loves being part of a field dedicated to relieving suffering and making the world a better place.
